چکیده
Background: Internal parasitosis is the most important parasitism in small ruminants tropical region. Synthetic anthelmintics are usually used for their control. Due to emergence of resistance worm population, use alternative methods such as plants bioactive molecules developed. This study aimed at assessing anthelmintic activity nine varieties Cajanus cajan, a taniferous plant cultivated West Africa. Methods: Leaves cajan were dried, ground and hydroacetonic extracts obtained by cold maceration concentration 60 mg/ml. Live adult Haemonchus contortus from sheep’s stomach exposed, triplicate, following solutions: (60 mg/ml), mg/ml) associated with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) (50 Levamisole (20 phosphate buffered saline (PBS) solution. Worm death time was recorded each treatment. Result: Worms exposed shortest about 9.73±1.77 min. The potent induced 64.83±4.73 min while least efficient 156.50±23.20 PBS solution still alive after 24 hours exposure. These results indicated that four C. this have promising wormicidal. Besides that, effect tannins not only compound responsible activity.

Integrated Weed Management in Pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.]
Uncontrolled weeds cause considerable losses in the grain yield of pigeonpea. Field experiments were conducted for seven years from 1998 to 2004 on a loamy sand soil to study the effect of weed management on weeds, growth and grain yield of pigeonpea. In some years, weed dry matter was higher than in others, due to variation in rainfall received. Two hand weedings, pendimethalin in integration ...

This study evaluated 26 pigeonpea rhizobial isolates according to their cultural characteristics, intrinsic antibiotic resistance, salt and temperature tolerance, carbon source utilization and amylolytic activity. The cultural characterization showed that the majority of them presented the ability to acidify the YMA. Among the 27 isolates evaluated, 25 were able to grow when incubated at 42° C ...

متن کاملGenetic Patterns of Domestication in Pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.) and Wild Cajanus Relatives
Pigeonpea (Cajanus cajan) is an annual or short-lived perennial food legume of acute regional importance, providing significant protein to the human diet in less developed regions of Asia and Africa. Due to its narrow genetic base, pigeonpea improvement is increasingly reliant on introgression of valuable traits from wild forms, a practice that would benefit from knowledge of its domestication ...
